When I was in grade school, my love affair with wood began. I was reading the book, Dicey’s Song, about a girl who is, among other things, fixing up an old sailboat. The descriptions were so vivid that I fell in love with the romance of refinishing wood. And the idea of wooden boats. I have since worked with wood enough to know that the best way for me to love it is from afar – I lack the patience to do anything other than admire it. Enter The Boat Tub by Wieki Somers. The old romance is revived, without any of the work!
